Hats off to Katy Christian Magazine! They recently chatted with Damon Rexroad—make that Minister Rexroad—for their upcoming August/September issue, asking, “What’s a guy from Friendswood doing in Katy, Texas?” He’s busy filming FORE!, that’s what!

Damon attended Bible College and married fellow minister Isabel, whom he met in Panama during a Team Xtreme mission. At that time Damon was busy mixing Nickelodeon-type humor with martial arts and visiting schools and churches around the world, which was a good foundation for his current role on FORE!

 Acting and Radio

But he’s also an award-winning actor who grew up mixing sports with acting gigs. Damon has appeared in numerous award-winning short films, TV commercials, web shorts, and even co-hosted the prestigious 2009 Houston Advertising Awards (ADDYS). Most recently he won honors for the short Film, “Chance 27″, which he both directed and co-wrote. He also co-hosted Breaking Right, the hit podcast turned weekly radio show that aired on the former CNN 650 in Houston.

Temper Tantrums

Now we love him best as “Bob,” our frustrated character who throws fits on the links. If you watch the earliest episode, “Bob” entertains us with his “Son of a MONKEY!” tirades —a shout out to his favorite actor, Chris Farley.

A Seinfeld Kind of Humor

Yes, FORE! may be “grown up” comedy about life on the links, but Damon had no problem joining our cast. “If you like a Seinfeld kind of humor, you’ll like the show” he says. We couldn’t say it better!
