Houston, TX, (June 3, 2013) – Executive Producer Scott Pitney announces the starring guest role of Billy Ray Brown in the web comedy golf series FORE!

Brown, a reporter for the Golf Channel and CBS, played on the PGA Tour in the 1980s and 1990s and had three wins in PGA Tour events during his playing career, which was cut short by a wrist injury and subsequent surgeries. His best finish in a major championship was T-3 at the 1990 U.S. Open. He earned 17 top-10 finishes in PGA Tour events during his career. Brown attended the University of Houston and was a member of the golf team. He won the 1982 NCAA Division 1 Championship as a freshman. He was also a member of the 1984 and 1985 national championship teams, and was an All-American all four years.

After his playing days ended, Brown moved into the media and has served as an on-course reporter for ABC Sports. In 2007, Brown joined the Golf Channel as an on-course reporter for the Champions Tour.

“We are excited to announce Billy Ray Brown’s appearance in episodes 5 and 6,” says Pitney. “Like current guest stars Tom Byrum and Doug Pike, he’s putting his notable skills to use in front of the camera, joining our comedic cast and crew to the delight of golf fans around the nation.”

The golf sitcom (www.watchfore.com) chronicles the adventures and social blunders of a group of golfers locally known as “The Gamblers,” who members of the affordable Fork Willow Country Club. The FORE! cast of golfers are social outcasts to everyone but themselves, with antics both on and off the course that are anything but politically and socially correct.

Creator and Executive Producer Scott Pitney is an avid golfer and member of the private club on which the show is based, which provides a colorful and accurate backdrop for each of the episodes.
