Evan King is an actor/improviser. Evan grew up in Houston, TX with a love for entertaining his family & friends. In 1988 Evan studied film acting under acclaimed casting director Gary Chason. Since 1997 he has performed in various theaters, open mics and coffee houses in New York, Houston & Austin, TX. 2005 Evan received acclaim for his performance as “Yoli” in the play Iphigenia Crash Land Falls… written by Caridad Svich & directed by John Cash Carpenter. 2009 Evan released his first short online at FunnyOrDie.com 12 Minutes to Heaven: Fate a romantic comedy that he stared in with the late actress Sofia V. Mendez, about 2 method actors in love. The film was inspired by his experiences in 2001 of studying acting in New York City. 2009 Evan made his first TV appearance as a guest on Houston’s local entertainment show Alternative Scream TV . Evan made 6 appearances on the show from 2009-2012.
In 2010 Evan appeared in his first online commercial for Heineken directed by Benjamin Sandlin. Also appearing in the award winning short film Tomboys from Lazy Gal Films.
Since 2009 Evan has acted in over 12 short films including playing a British time traveler in All That Glitters which made it to finals at Houston’s 48 Hour Film Project in 2012. Evan also loves the art of dance. He often dances in most of his films/shows. In 2013 along with Fore! Evan appears in 3 feature films; Travis Ammons’ Suicide Notes, Firestorm Pictures Copycat playing a wanna be gangsta rapper and Enrique Caldera’s Easy Life as a hippie Valet.
Evan will continue acting in films while entertaining people along the way with original characters & shows.
