Damon Rexroad started acting at the age of 12 in community theater but most of his young life was spent juggling acting with sports having been a former Powerlifting State Champion, Jr. Olympics Gold Medalist and World Bench Press Champion as well as a red shirt freshman full back at the University of Houston before being injured and forced to move on from sports.
Not ready to give up, Damon changed his life, built his strength back up and started traveling the world as a motivational speaker and minister with Team Xtreme where he used feats of strength like breaking bricks to get the attention of young people while imparting a message of responsibility, anti-bullying, good decision making and standing up to peer pressure. This work allowed him to travel all over the world and speak to many thousands of people including hundreds of churches and over 200 public and private schools.
After meeting his future wife and fellow minister, Isabel, during a crusade in the country of Panama, they eventually got married, moved back to Damon’s home town of Houston and now have two small boys.
Having returned to acting in 2008, Damon has appeared in numerous award winning short films, TV commercials, web shorts and even co-hosted the prestigious 2009 Houston Advertising Awards (ADDYS) and most recently Damon has won honors for the short Film, “Chance 27”, which he both directed and co-wrote. Outside of film Damon was also a co-host of, “Breaking Right”, the hit podcast turned weekly radio show that aired on the former CNN 650 in Houston, TX.
