Following a successful stint in non-profit work, Carlos Tovar transitioned into his lifelong passion for filmmaking. Carlos has crewed for feature films such as Cook County, Tree of Life, Wolvesbayne, Mindsight, This is America and Camp Sterling: The Secret of the Lost Medallion prior to his move into work as a UPM/Line Producer with short films (Jon Wuz Here), web series (Placeholders, The Therapist, 25 & Married, More Than Human) and feature films (Doll Factory, Tribe of Eden).

He pursues an active development slate consisting of several productions in different genres and formats. His written work can be read at his filmmaking blog, FanboyFilmmaker.com, and his linked YouTube channel showcases the majority of his short format work.

Carlos studied Communications and Media Production at the University of Houston. He is based out of Houston, TX.
